Communications 0441 (Appointment) – Paragraph Development

COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course offers practice in composing well-constructed paragraphs. Students write paragraphs in basic rhetorical forms using skills of effective organization, unity, detail, and transition. Emphasis is on understanding paragraph components to write well-developed and coherent paragraphs. Course may be taken two times for credit.

ORIENTATION/ATTENDANCE
Attendance required at weekly appointment.

EVALUATION OF STUDENT PERFORMANCE
Students will be evaluated by a combination of demonstrated competency of the course objectives, completed assignments, and progress and mastery tests as well as attendance and active course participation. Students may also be required to visit the Writing Assistance Area during the term.
