COURSE DESCRIPTION

Introduction to a general ledger software package on a microcomputer.  Prerequisite: Accounting 1110 or 1140, or consent of the instructor.  Keyboarding and mouse skills are required. This course is an introduction to a general ledger accounting software package (QuickBooks) on a microcomputer.

Required Textbooks:         Computer Accounting with QuickBooks Pro 2008, 10th edition, by Donna Ulmer.  McGraw Hill Publishing Company.

Flash or jump drive, with memory storage of 256MB to 1GB

QuickBooks Software 2007 or higher (You can update your version of QuickBooks for free for a trial period by accessing Intuit’s web site: www.intuit.com)

Windows 2000 or higher

CD-ROM drive, and/or port for flash/thumb drive

Internet Explorer 6 internet connection

 

ORIENTATION/ATTENDANCE
Orientation is highly recommended.
