	The newly renovated Center for Independent Learning at Glen Ellyn opened in January 1997. This center on campus in Glen Ellyn features two floors of networked computer labs, two multi-use classrooms for future video-conferencing, a computer classroom, individual study and conference areas, and a small science lab. The center is also equipped with e-mail and voice-mail capabilities to help students who study and learn at a distance receive support and assistance from faculty and staff. An Assessment and Testing Lab is located on a separate level of the center. The center in Glen Ellyn is electronically linked to the off-campus centers via a fiber optic network.
