Physical Education 2202 – Introduction to Athletic Programs
- An overview of basic information and key concepts that form the foundation
of professional preparation for careers in sport management. The course also
covers definition of terms, discussions of the nature and scope of the sport
industry, and explanations of unique aspects of sport management enterprises.
You will also learn about desirable athletic management competencies and some of
the challenges and opportunities as a sport and athletic program manager.

What is this particular online course like? It is a self-study course that you
can do on your own time, but is not totally self-paced. The assignments are due
by certain dates. Each week you will read through a chapter, answer the work
sheets assigned to the chapter and take exams. Please be mindful of message
