College of DuPage

Welcome to Spanish 2201 Internet, Intermediate Spanish I.  This course continues to develop the ability to speak, understand, read, and write Spanish in a cultural and communicative context.  Spanish 2201 Internet is for students who have successfully completed Spanish 1102 or equivalent, or 2 yrs. high school Spanish, or consent of instructor.  This is a four-credit hour course that may not be repeated for credit.

Spanish 2201 Internet never meets in the classroom; all coursework and exams are completed online.

Course Objectives

Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to demonstrate a basic knowledge of:

Active class preparedness

Although learning Spanish via the Internet provides maximum flexibility, it is by no means a short cut to acquiring the language.   Estimates are difficult due to the complex nature of language acquisition; however, the most successful students need to dedicate at least 8 to 10 hours a week to this course -- double that time during an intensive course sequence, such as the summer 8 week program.

Online learning study takes discipline and dedication. You are responsible for pacing your work throughout the semester and meeting all important due dates and deadlines. The most successful online learning students adhere to the course calendar due dates provided by the instructor and follow it faithfully.  If you have never taken an Internet course before, please visit Succeeding in Internet Courses.
