SOCIOLOGY 2205: Statistics for the Social and Behavioral Sciences

About the Class

Sociology 2205: Statistics for the Social and Behavioral Sciences provides a basic introduction to using statistical methods to analyze quantitative data in the social and behavioral sciences.  In this three credit hour class, you will learn hands-on how to use statistical software to perform various forms of data analysis as conducted by sociologists in academic and applied research settings.  

This is an IAI transferable course (IAI M1 902).

Who Should Take This Class?

This course is particularly recommended for the following students:


Demonstrated geometry competency (level 2), and Math 0482 (or college equivalent) with a grade of C or better or qualifying score on the mathematics placement test or qualifying A.C.T. math score and at least one course in the social/behavioral sciences.

Computer Experience and Equipment
