Introductory course exploring a variety of issues related to cultural competency in Human Services practice. The concepts of race, ethnicity, culture, class, religion, gender, sexual orientation, ethnocentrism, oppression, and power will be explored. Practical application of acquired awareness, knowledge, and skills will be stressed.

Special Requirements: This is a hybrid course, so students will need to travel to campus to complete a portion of their required coursework.
