Reflections Restaurant. ocmdhotels Harrison Group, June 3, 2010Hospitality 1100 is a survey class for students thinking about a career in the hospitality industry or for those working in the industry that wants to learn and get ahead at their jobs. The concepts and topics are introduced in separate chapters to reflect the interdisciplinary nature of the hospitality industry. Units represent the hotel business, restaurant and beverage operations, recreation and tourism to include attractions, clubs, and gaming, and the meetings and special events areas. Guest speakers from in class lectures are incorporated and an in-depth study of a future career is required.

The objective of the class is for the student to become aware of the many facets and jobs available in the hospitality industry. This class is required for students majoring in: Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, Meeting and Event Management, Pastry Arts, and Restaurant Management.  This is a 3 hour class.
