Course Overview

Economics 2201: Macroeconomics and the Global Economy is a study of the major factors that determine levels of economic activity, resource allocation, national production, introduction to price functioning, income levels, government, money and banking, policy implications, and economic growth.

This Internet course is offered through COD Online and is designed to offer the student a flexible method of completing the course material for an introductory macroeconomics course using an institutions approach. We will try to introduce you to the who, what, and why of macroeconomic activity.

This course has regular deadlines. Successful students must be self-directed. This is NOT an independent study course.

Economics 2201 is a 3-hour credit course.

A score of 53 or higher in the algebra domain of the Math Placement Test is recommended.
