Advanced course in iPhone/iPad application programming environment and use of Apple's System Development Kit (SDK) to develop and deploy data driven applications on iPhone/iPad.

Topics include data modeling, databases using core data, SQLite and MySQL, interfaces to web services, database applications, debugging, application design and implementation of data driven applications.

Prerequisites

Students must have completed Computer Information Systems 2592, an equivalent course outside of COD, or have the permission of the instructor.

Technical Requirements

Students must have regular access to the Internet and a computer. Courses are administered through Blackboard, so students will also need a compatible OS and browser. A list of recommended software can be found here.

Time Requirements

Students can expect to spend 10-12 hours each week completing the work required for the course.
