CIS 2571: Introduction to Java

This is the first course in a 3-course sequence on java programming language. Provides instruction on how to develop, test and debug java applications. Walks through the process of program development.  Additional topics include:

This course was designed to provide step-by-step instructions on how to develop a java application for a non-programmer. It starts with structured programming concepts and then gets into OOP, event driven and GUI application development process. This course is a 4 semester credit hour class.

Prerequisites: CIS 1400 with a grade of “C” or better, or equivalent or consent of instructor.

Should I Take CIS 2571 Online?

Experience indicates that students most successful in an online version of a course are students who work with computers on a regular basis and are comfortable with online interaction.
