CIS 1510 Graphical User Interface Programming

Course Overview

This course introduces students to object oriented, event-driven programming in the Windows environment and to design techniques used to create the Windows Graphical User Interface. The topics include GUI design concepts, variables, constants, assignment, sequence, selection, repetition, controls, variable arrays, sequential and random access files, sub procedures and function and parameter passing.

For this course, the student will be programming using Microsoft Visual Basic.NET for Windows. This on-line course combines textbook readings with hands on programming labs and assignments.

Course Prerequisite

The course prerequisite is CIS 1130 and 1400 or consent of instructor.
