Activities and Programs Include:
COMMUNITY NEEDS ASSESSMENT
Interviews of community leaders and surveys of community members are
used to identify educational needs of underserved sectors of District
502.
PUBLIC POLICY INSTITUTE
Students and other community members are engaged in workshops and forums
based on the National
Issues Forums (NIF) approach to discussing critical
community and national issues.
SPEAKERS BUREAU
A service that provides expert speakers from College of DuPage faculty

MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. BREAKFAST
Co-sponsored by College of DuPage and Benedictine University, the Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast is
held in January on the national holiday. It is a scholarship
fundraiser that features a keynote speaker and breakout sessions for
a diverse gathering of community members.

Starting this fall, College of DuPage staff, students and community members will participate in a year-long series of college-wide discussions on important social issues that will challenge and advance the thinking of participants.
Discover, Develop, Do (3D) presents "Nurture/Nature" for the 2008-2009 academic year. This program will focus on an exploration of the relationship between humans and their environment. Each year, 3D will bring another controversial social topic to light that encourages creative thinking and engages members at all levels of contribution.
