Programs
Adult
Basic Education (ABE)
Adult Basic Education (ABE) offers programs for adults that help them with basic skills or prepares them for GED (General Education Development) testing.
Business
and Professional Institute
College of DuPage established the Business and Professional Institute to provide business, industry and organizations with assistance in meeting the challenges of the local and global economies.
Career Enhancement
The Career Services Center offers career resources and opportunities for students, alumni and residents of District 502.
Continuing Education
Courses, classes and workshops for adults are designed to meet a variety of educational needs and provide a multitude of educational experiences, whether for personal development or life enhancement.
Economic and Community Development
Economic and Community Development provides programs, classes and services
to students, community residents, local businesses, community organizations,
area K-12 schools and in-state baccalaureate institutions.
English as
a Second Language (ESL)
ESL offers a wide variety of programs, including those for families, professionals and the English Language Institute (ELI). The Citizenship program prepares adults to take the test for U.S. Citizenship.
Field
and Experiential Learning
Field and Experiential Learning offers credit courses that combine classroom work with empirical field experience. Classes are experience based/faculty facilitated.
Older Adult Institute
Whatever the topic, the Older Adult Institute (OAI) offers mature adults an opportunity to engage in intellectual discovery through lifelong learning.
People Educating People (PEP)
For those wishing to help out in any of these areas, People Educating People (PEP) recruits, trains and places volunteers as tutors.
Suburban Law Enforcement Academy
The Suburban Law Enforcement Academy provides the highest quality training to meet the needs of law enforcement. This includes the basic police training program and continuing education courses for law enforcement personnel.
Youth Education
The Youth Education program promotes lifelong learning at an early age and then fosters that learning throughout life.
