Enterprise Database Courses

Prepare yourself for an understanding of Enterprise Databases with hands-on experience. The Computer Information Systems (CIS) program at College of DuPage offers the following courses in the Access, Oracle, and SQL Server database environments:
CIS 2720, Structured Query Language (SQL I), 3 credit hours
Introduces Structured Query Language (SQL) programming (uses Oracle SQL+, Access). Includes:
- Concepts of relational databases
- SQL script/clause statement commands
- Use of SQL script/clause statements to create and maintain database object
CIS 2725, Enterprise SQL Application, 3 credit hours
Applies Structured Query Language (SQL) commands in an Enterprise Database Management System (DBMS) (uses Microsoft SQL Server). Includes:
- Creation, maintenance and deployment of a database in an enterprise network environment
- Writing stored procedures, triggers, Windows applications, and Web applications
- Integrating Visual Studio
- Essential administrative information for developers
CIS 2730, Enterprise Database Development, 3 credit hours
Applies Structured Query Language (SQL) commands in an Enterprise Database Management System (DBMS) (uses Oracle Developer Suite). Includes:
- Creation, maintenance and deployment of a database in an enterprise network environment
- Essential administrative information for developers
- Use Form Builder, Report Builder to build Web-based forms and reports
