Intramurals

Intramural sports are open to College of DuPage students. The following sports are scheduled for Spring 2018:

Chaparral Fitness Mini-Triathlon

Monday through Friday, Feb. 19 to 23, 5:30 a.m. – 7 p.m.

3 on 3 Basketball

Friday, March 2 and Friday, March 9, 11a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

3 on 3 Indoor Soccer

Tuesday, March 13 and Thursday, March 15, 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

4 on 4 Volleyball

Tuesday, April 10 and Thursday, April 12, 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

All events will be held in the PEC Building Arena, Chaparral Fitness Center or Al Zamsky Pool.


 

Chaparral Fitness Mini-Triathlon

Monday through Friday, Feb. 19 to 23, 5:30 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Registration for this event is now closed.

Levels:

Competitive

Dimensions - Swim 25 minutes, Bicycle 45 minutes, Run 35 minutes

Recreational

Dimensions - Swim 10 minutes, Bicycle 30 minutes, Run 20 minutes

Divisions:

Individual Male Age Groups: 18 to 25, 26 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60+

Individual Female Age Groups: 18 to 25, 26 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60+

Teams (Coed Teams Welcome): Must have 4 team members ages 18+

There will be Individual Champions declared for each Level/Division/Age Group

There will be a Competitive and Recreation Team Champion.

Rules:

  1. All participants must be current Chaparral Fitness Members.
  2. Once you start the Mini-Triathlon (in any order) you have that entire day to finish it.
  3. Distances for Run and Bicycle and laps for swim must be recorded and signed off by Chaparral Fitness or Pool Staff.
  4. Participants must declare whether they are competing as individuals or on a team.
  5. If competing on a team, each team member must complete all 3 events.
  6. Final rankings will be determined by accumulative distance for all 3 events.


3 on 3 Basketball

Friday, March 2 and Friday, March 9, 11a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Sign Up Deadline: Friday, Feb. 16

Sign Up Locations: Athletics Office, Chaparral Fitness, Arena

Number of Teams: No more than 16 teams per division.

Divisions:

Competitive (Coed Teams are welcome):

4 players minimum, 5 players maximum (Only 1 current COD Intercollegiate basketball player per team)

Recreational (Coed Teams are welcome)

4 players minimum, 5 players maximum (no players who have played club, high school or college basketball may play)

Women’s

4 players minimum, 5 players maximum (Only 1 current COD Intercollegiate basketball player per team)

Rules

  1. All participants must be a current COD student or a member of the Faculty/Staff.
  2. Games to 11 points (by 1’s & 2’s) or whoever is winning at the end of 10 minutes.
  3. Make it take it.
  4. Call your own fouls (respect the call).
  5. Fighting by any team member will lead to immediate Team elimination.
  6. Team name must not be offensive or have vulgar language.
  7. After all possession changes, ball must be cleared past 3-point line.
