Still looking for a way to quickly identify ungraded work. Maybe the ability to create a Smart View that includes "Needs Grading" as a query value?

The navigation at the top of the Grade Details page is extremely useful. But, how about a single "Go" button for both student and assignment, so that both can be changed in one step without having to reload the page to make a second change?

I wish that a zero entered directly in the cell would be entered as a manual grade and count as the student's attempt. Currently it reveals as an override grade which still allows students to submit work (behind the zero) and this can lead to confusion on the instructor's and student's part.

Many of the Natural Science courses are taught as double sections. All students attend the same lectures. Half the students participate in lab on, say, Monday, and the other attend lab on Wednesday - hence the two sections. Every time I enter an announcement, assignment, etc., I must enter it twice for the two sections. Also, students only have communication access to half the students in their lecture. Is there a way to compile the two sections into one course?

Can a feature be added to allow discussions across courses or course sections? This was possible in Anlon and useful when teaching multiple sections of the same course.

Can a feature be added such that once a day, an email would be sent to an instructor showing all courses in which ungraded items appear in the Grade Center? This would save the effort of opening each course, waiting for the Grade Center to load to determine if grading is needed.

It would be helpful if the main screen on the discussion board allowed an area for 'sticky notes' or attachments where the instructor could post documents or info that applies to all forums (for example rubrics, policies, etc...) I've seen these in discussion forums hosted elsewhere on the web and they are very helpful.

Add a checkbox in the gradebook section where you write comments in response to an individual student's work that you can check to automatically email those comments to the student. This way you can be more assured students will actually recieve and read the comments you take the time to write.

When the email option under Announcements is selected, the email that goes to students looks nothing like the Announcement that was posted (e.g., double-spacing is sometimes used with rather random line breaks). As a result, the emails that go out this way not only look unprofessional, they eat up too much paper when the students print them.

When a student goes over the time limit for an exam, an exclamation point appears in the grade center. Before the enhancement to the grade center this August, when I resolved that situation, I was able to add a comment describing the resolution to that grade in the grade center. The ability to add such a comment no longer exists. I need this comment so that the student understands that their grade of zero was recorded since she went over the time limit.

When an email is sent to a student through Blackboard, a copy of that email goes to the instructor's cod email account. However, there are two problems: (1) that email goes to the junk folder, and (2) there is no indication of the recipient of that email. I have brought item 1 to the attention of our Help Desk. We need a resolution to item 2; currently, I have no proof that I sent the email to the student.

Our students are able to copy their exams in blackboard. My entire department needs a solution that would prevent students from printing out the exams. Quite honestly, this has created a situation where the exams are no longer secure. How is this possible in this day and age of technology?? Please HELP!

For the new Grade Center -- a way to view more than 8 rows of student grades at a time. Currently, there's too much up/down scrolling needed when pumping student grades in. Either make the frame bigger (at LEAST double) or give grade columns the ability to 'pop-out' so you can view and enter all enrolled students' grades for a single assignment/column.

The views given are too limited. I would like to be able to see all or most of the active students at once. I would also like the columns to be narrower so I did not have to scroll back and forth so much to see items in the Grade Center.

In the new Grade center there seems to have been a "dis-enhancement." In the New Grade Center, it seems that one cannot attach a student's essay with comments interlineally--only put general comments in the comment box. While I do not always include interlinear comments, for some students, I believe this is a must. I realize I can do this by downloading and saving the essay and attaching it to an email, but not being able to do this in the system itself means more effort.

When assigning course shells, please change the default to include the Course ID as well as the Course name.
In order to accurately choose the course we wish to work in, we have to constantly customize the My Courses list.

Pasting word documents is problematical, particularly documents containing tables. I would suggest that Bb automatically strip extraneous Word tags from the underlying HTML, much as Dreamweaver does.

The instructions for an assignment appear when the student opens the assignment and also again when they click to enter the area where they attach their assignment. It would be much better if we could put different instructions/directions in these two areas. As it is now, they are both the same and this cannot be changed.

Course Statistics tells us whether a student has viewed a particular area of the course. It would be helpful to also know how much time they spent in the area.
