When entering grades on-line for the entire class, the "spreadsheet" has the student's name on the far left-hand column and the blank for entering the score on the far right-hand column. I'd really like to see them physically brought closer together. Two times so far this semester I have accidentally input the score into the wrong student's row. Additionally, it makes entering grades slow because you have to take your cursor and trace all the way across the row to (hopefully) ensure you are entering the proper score in the proper box.

It would be helpful if students who are no longer enrolled in the class appear at the bottom of the gradebook, instead of continuing to be listed. The problem with students who are dropped still be listed normally in the gradebook is that as I enter grades, I notice gaps, and without having memorized students who have dropped versus those who haven't, I end up spending time double/triple checking that I haven't missed an email or lost work or forgotten to record the grade.
