Kind of Blue at 50
Friday, Oct. 16, 2009, 8 p.m.

Fifty years from its original release date, Miles Davis’ Kind of Blue has reached triple platinum in the recording world and continues to sell 5,000 copies a week. Legendary drummer, Jimmy Cobb (the only surviving member from the original recording), leads an all-star band through straight ahead interpretations like “So What,” “Freddie Freeloader,” and an assortment of other Davis, Coltrane and Adderley staples. It’s a performance that is as fresh as the music was 50 years ago.

Tickets: $46 adult/44 senior/36 youth
