Committee Members
Fred Bruney has been exposed to art since beginning
college art studies 38 years ago. His terminal degree is a M.F.A.
in sculpture from Yale University. While at Yale, he received the
Rebecca Taylor Porter Award for outstanding second-year work and
a Ford Foundation Grant for a selected installation. He worked on
large-scale projects with artists Siah Armajani, Michael Hall, Robert
Irwin and Winifred Lutz. His own work includes two- and three-dimensional
pieces. The work encompasses both object and installation. He received
a NEA Regional Visual Arts Fellowship for a body of work in 1993.
Stephen Cummins is the director
of the McAninch Arts Center and holds an M.F.A. in theater from
the University of Illinois. Before
coming to College of DuPage he served as the assistant director
for artistic services at Krannert Center for the Performing Arts
and was an assistant professor in the Division of Design, Technology,
and Management in the U of I Theater Department.
Alain Hentschel is the associate dean of Fine and
Applied Arts and has a master's degree in drawing and painting from
California State University at Long Beach. He is an internationally
exhibited artist (painter), graphic and web designer, teacher and

Brad Killam is an artist and art professor at College
of DuPage. He has exhibited his work nationally and internationally
and has work in private and public collections in the United States
and Europe. He also co-directs the exhibition space, The Suburban.
Additionally, he has published works in national and international
journals.
Marina Kuchinski is an active
visual artist practicing in ceramics, mixed media and installation
art and has exhibited extensively throughout the United States
in prominent museums and galleries. She received numerous grants
and awards,
including Jerome and McKnight grants, juried exhibitions, and was
a guest artist at various colleges and universities. She received
her B.F.A. from Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem,
Israel, and her M.F.A. from Penn State University. She has been teaching
at C.O.D. since 2000.
David Leary is an educator and practicing architect
who has been a visiting design critic, lecturer and has participated
in exhibitions at many universities in the United States and Canada.
His design work, independently and in collaboration, has won many
design awards in local, national and international architectural
design competitions. He recently completed the course work and is
pursuing a Ph.D. in the history and theory of architecture at McGill
University in Montreal. In fall 2006, he was a visiting
professor of architecture in the Department of Architecture, Interior
Architecture and Designed Objects at the School of the Art Institute
of Chicago.
Wendolyn Tetlow holds a Ph.D. in English and American
Literature from New York University; dean of Liberal Arts Division
at College of DuPage; experience publishing in and editing literary
journals that included visual arts.
Michael Trench is the Chief Development Officer
of C.O.D. and serves as executive director of the C.O.D. Foundation,
provides input on fundraising as a means of building available funds
in support of the permanent art collection, and is a resource on
the technical aspects of gift acceptance.
Barbara Wiesen is the director and curator of the
Gahlberg Gallery in the McAninch Arts Center and holds a M.F.A. in
studio arts from the University of Illinois, Chicago. She has many
years of curatorial experience, running a professional gallery,
producing exhibition catalogs, and teaching studio art.
Jody Zamirowski was the design
coordinator for College of DuPage until 2006. Jody served on the
Graphics and Interiors Committee for many years and was involved
in accepting and placing art donations throughout the campus. Jody
art directed the existing College of DuPage booklet called "Art
on Campus".
