 Weekend 1

 LBH: chap 3, especially 3d; skim chap 1. Focus on where you can improve your writing process and product.  LBH: Review chap 1; read chap 2 carefully. Focus on where you can improve process and product. Review chap 1, focusing on where you can improve writing process and product; Read chap 35, plan research topic, brainstorm ideas.  Begin learning journal, responding to readings and considering writing strengths and weaknesses. Set goals for improvement and for writing projects.

 Weekend 2

 Study 1a, 3, f, g. Apply to essay for this week.  Study 331a, b, c, noticing especially b2 & 5 and all of c. Review 16-17 for ideas. Apply to writing where appropriate.  Review areas of weakness in last paper to apply to next writing. Read chap 36a, b, c, &d. Read chap 4b4-6. Make working bibliography, do prelim reading, and form tentative thesis-rough outline.  Continue learning journal. Review handbook to improve weaknesses. Adapt goals to assignment for this week. See me for approval.

 Weekend 3

 Study 1b, c, d. Skim 2 for guidelines in revising.  Study 18-19 and apply to style during revisions for this week's paper.  Do note-taking according to class instructions. Revise thesis and outline as needed. Read 36e through end of chapter. Note your questions.  Continue learning journal. Review handbook to improve weaknesses. Adapt goals to assignment for this week. See me for approval.

 Weekend 4

 Study 11 & 31a, especially a8. Review 16-19, focusing on what you need to improve style. Apply to writing, indicating where you are experimenting.  Finalize outline and submit; problem-shoot, bring questions and drafts to class. Review 27 & 28. Use sample paper in 38 as guide.  Continue learning journal. Review handbook to improve weaknesses. Adapt goals to assignment for this week. See me for approval.

 Weekend 5

 Work as needed for final paper.   Work as needed for final paper.  Finish research paper and prepare a 5-10 minute presentation for the class.   Work as needed for final paper.
