Transcripts
• Unofficial copies of C.O.D. transcripts are available
at the front desk in the Counseling and Advising office, SRC 2044, or the Records
office, SRC 2015. A
picture ID is required.
• Official transcripts of all work completed at College
of DuPage are prepared
by the Records office. Students are encouraged to order
transcripts online.
• Incoming transcript evaluation for students with college credit
from other school(s)
1. The Records office will assist advisers and students in determining
whether or not a student has completed a prerequisite or equivalent course at
another
school in order to facilitate appropriate course selection for a student’s
first term at C.O.D. However, official evaluations are only processed for students
who previously attended or currently attend C.O.D. New students must wait until
the midpoint of their first term of enrollment before requesting a complete official
evaluation.
2. Students should contact the former school(s) and request
that one official copy of the transcript be mailed directly to the C.O.D. Records
office.
3. Two weeks after requesting transcripts, students should contact
the Records office at (630) 942-3829 to verify that all transcripts have been
received.
4. Once all transcripts have been received, fill out the Incoming
Transcript Evaluation Form. The Records office will process a degree audit using
the student’s incoming transcript(s) as well as C.O.D. coursework. The
audit will show transfer credit accepted and how this credit applies toward a
specific degree. This degree
audit will be mailed to the student’s home address.
5. Note: The transcript evaluation process can be quite lengthy;
four to six
weeks is not unusual.
