Nathania
Montes
I have been a counselor at College of DuPage since 2002. Previously
I worked at the Family Institute at Northwestern University and
student counseling services at University of Southern California.
My education includes a B.A. from Cornell University in psychology
and a M.A. and Ph.D. from Northwestern University in counseling
psychology. I use my training as a psychologist to help students
identify and achieve their educational, career and personal goals.
I currently teach Education 1105, Career Development, Education
1110, Interpersonal Skills for Life and Work, and SS188, Exploring
Diversity and Social Justice.
I find great joy in working with
students. I am a firm believer that we can all achieve success,
we just have to clear away all the barriers that stop us from
achieving it. These barriers can include anxiety, stress, relationship
or life transition issues, or even just feeling a bit lost. Is
there anything stopping you from getting to where you want to
be? If so, please call and set an appointment to talk about these
issues.
