Exam registration can be completed using our online system:

Please note:

The following items are strictly prohibited from the testing room(lockers are provided free of charge:

  • Hats, scarves (unless religious in nature), sunglasses, hoodies, coats/jackets
  • Watches, wallets, keys
  • Cell phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones/headsets, MP3 players, and electronic devices or accessories that are not medically necessary.
  • Mechanical pencils, pens, scratch paper (Testing Center provides all materials needed)

The following items are only allowed with the consent of the testing company or home institution, and the Testing Center has been notified in advance:

  • Calculators
  • Laptops, tablets
  • Books and/or notes
  • Food/drink (for medical purposes)

 

Proctored Exams

 

The College of DuPage Testing Center provides proctoring services to people needing to take exams for other institutions/companies. All exams require a valid, government-issued, photo ID. Tests are administered by appointment, and the fee is based upon the length of the exam. Payment is due at the time of registration and is non-refundable. Appointments must be made a minimum of 48 hours in advance, or an additional fee* will be assessed. Rescheduling is allowed for an additional fee#.

When making an appointment, you agree to all of the terms set forth by the guidelines. Please review them before making an appointment, and call the office at 630-942-2401 with an questions.

There will be a $25 fee for all proctored exams.

Please Note: If you are taking College of DuPage Internet Courses and your syllabus says you need to have your exams proctored at the Testing Center, you do NOT need to make an appointment. Your tests are administered free of charge on a walk-in basis on main campus in BIC 2405 and at the Learning Commons in  Naperville and Westmont. Click here for testing hours for COD courses.

Proctored exams also include remote testing for COMPASS tests and Accuplacer tests for NIU students only.

ATTENTION University of Wisconsin Placement Test takers:

University of Wisconsin requires other steps in order to test at a custom location, like the College of DuPage. Please go to https://exams.wisc.edu/placement/regionaltesting/registration.php and follow all of the directions for OPTION 3 if you choose to test here at the College of DuPage. This is not a group test setting, this is for individual placement test.

College-Level Examination Program (CLEP)

The College of DuPage is a national test site and offers all 33 CLEP exams to both students and the community at large. For COD students, Click here for a list of CLEP exams accepted for credit at College of DuPage. Students wishing to transfer the CLEP credit to other institutions, please refer to each school's CLEP policy for accepted credits. For more information about CLEP tests, please visit www.collegeboard.com/clep.

CLEP exams are administered by appointment. Registration is a two part process completed online.

1. Go to http://clep.collegeboard.org/register/exam to create an account and pay for your CLEP test. You must bring your CLEP registration ticket on the day of your exam.

2. Make an appointment with the College of DuPage (see instructions below), and pay the test administration fee.

Please read the following information before registering:

  • There is a $30 administration fee due at the time of registration  which is non-refundable.
  • If you need to reschedule, please call (630) 942-2401. There is a $15 rescheduling fee that will be charged at the time of the request.
  • On the day of your exam one form of government-issued ID from the following list must be presented.

Government-issued* photo ID

      • Driver's license
      • State ID
      • Passport (signed)
      • Military ID

*Credit/debit cards and SSN cards are no longer accepted as IDs.

DSST Program

The College of DuPage is a national test site and offers all 38 DSST exams to both students and the community at large. Students wishing to transfer DSST credit to other institutions should refer to each school's DSST policy for accepted credits. Currently, the College of DuPage does not accept DSST exams for credit. For more information about DSST tests, please visit www.getcollegecredit.com.

PLEASE NOTE: Until further notice the Testing Center
is NOT administering the DSST: Public Speaking exam.

DSST exams are administered by appointment and registration is completed online. Please read the following information before registering:

  • A DSST account must be created before testing. Please bring the username and password for the account to the test. Please Click here for instructions on first-time registration.
  • There is a $30 administration fee due at the time of registration which is non-refundable. DSST requires an additional $80 fee due at the time of the exam. DSST fees are paid by credit card only. Discover cards are not accepted by DSST.
  • To reschedule, please call (630) 942-2401. There is a $15 rescheduling fee that will be charged at the time of the request.
  • On the day of the exam, please bring a government-issued photo ID with a signature. Answers to questions about acceptable IDs can be found by calling the office at (630) 942-2401.

WorkKeys

Currently, the College of DuPage Testing Center offers eight WorkKeys exams and two certifications: the Proficiency Certificate for Teacher Assistants and the National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC). The Collage of DuPage library has a study program for WorkKeys exams called Career Ready 101 (or KeyTrain). The individual tests are $20 each. The Proficiency Certificate for Teacher Assistants and the NCRC are $50 and must be completed in one session. Please note: The Business Writing results are available in 3-5 business days. All other exam results are available immediately.

WorkKey exams and certificates are administered by appointment at the Testing Center on the main campus (BIC 2407). To register for an appointment on the main campus, click on the link below.

PSB Health Occupations Aptitude Examination

This exam is used as part of the admissions criteria for the Dental Hygiene, Nuclear Medicine, Radiography, and Sonography/Ultrasound programs. For more information about the PSB-HOAE exam, please visit www.psbtests.com. Click on “Test Resources” for sample questions. For more information on the programs, please visit the Health Sciences Admissions page at www.cod.edu/hsadmissions.

PSB-HOAE exams are administered by appointment and registration for a seat is completed online. The fee for the exam is $40. Please read the following information before registering:

  • The test administration fee is due at the time of registration and is non-refundable.
  • On the day of the exam, please bring a government-issued photo ID with a signature. For questions about the accepted IDs, please call the office at (630) 942-2401.
  • Please arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled exam time.
  • If you need to reschedule your exam, you must call 630-942-2401 no less than four business days before your appointment. There is a $15 fee to reschedule that is due at the time of the request. You may not reschedule less than four business days before your appointment; you will need to register and pay for a new appointment time.

HESI A2 Exam

This exam is used as part of the admissions criteria for the Nursing (ADN) program  The exam consists of several academic sections as well as a personality profile. College of DuPage will administer the following sections: Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary and General Knowledge, Grammar, Anatomy and Physiology, Learning Style, Personality Profile, and Critical Thinking. Please refer to the ADN information packet for more information on the nursing application process.

HESI A2 exams are administered by appointment and registration is completed online. Please read the following information before registering:

  • There is a $60 administration fee due at the time of registration which is non-refundable.
  • An Evolve account must be created before testing. Please bring the username and password for the account to the test.

Click here to create an account (you will be redirected to a non-COD website).
Click on "Register for This Now" (orange box).
Click "Redeem/Checkout" (orange box). The price should show $0.00
Complete the required fields, check the box next to "Yes" and
click Submit.

  • NOTE: The Evolve/Elsevier website is NOT where you schedule your exam; you are only creating an account. Exams are scheduled at www.cod.edu/testing.
  • If you need to reschedule your exam, you must call 630-942-2401 no less than four business days before your appointment. There is a $15 fee to reschedule that is due at the time of the request. You may not reschedule less than four business days before your appointment; you will need to register and pay for a new appointment time.
  • Students can retest after 90 days and the test can be taken twice per application period.
  • On the day of your exam please bring a photo ID.
  • Please arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled exam time.
