You can register for the following exams using our online system:


Proctored Exams

The College of DuPage Testing Center provides proctoring services to people needing to take exams for other institutions/companies. Tests are administered by appointment, and the fee is $25 per exam which is due at the time of registration. Our proctored testing guidelines can be found here.

  • Appointments must be made at least 48 hours in advance. You will be asked to pay the full amount for the exam at the time of registration. This fee is non-refundable.
  • When scheduling an appointment, choose the correct the amount of time you need for your exam.
  • If you're test is untimed, you must choose the amount of time you believe you will need for your exam. If you have any questions, please contact Specialized Testing Services (630-942-2401). You will not be allowed to continue testing past our closing time.
  • If you do not know how much time you are allowed for your exam, please contact the instructor for your course before you make your appointment.
  • If you need to reschedule your appointment, please call the Testing Center office at 630-942-2401 no less than two business days before your scheduled exam. Out of consideration for others who would also like to register, you will only be allowed to reschedule the same exam twice without incurring additional fees.
  • The day before your appointment, please call 630-942-2401 to make sure that your test has arrived and has been processed.
  • On the day of your exam you will need to bring a government-issued photo ID. If you have questions about the accepted IDs, please call the Specialized Testing office at 630-942-2401.
  • The following items are prohibited in the testing room: food, drinks, books, notes, purses, backpacks, any electronic devices (including cell phones), personal writing utensils, sunglasses, watches, hats, or hoods. The Testing Center will provide lockers for personal belongings, and paper and pencils if requested.

College-Level Examination Program (CLEP)

The College of DuPage is a national test site and offers all 33 CLEP exams to both students and the community at large. If you are a student at another college or university, you will need to check with your school to determine which exams will be accepted for credit. If you are a COD student, Click here for a list of CLEP exams accepted for credit at College of DuPage. For more information about CLEP tests, please visit www.collegeboard.com/clep.

CLEP exams are administered by appointment and you can register for a test online. Please read the following information before registering:

  • When you register for an exam you will be asked to pay a $30 administration fee, which is non-refundable. On the day of the exam you will need to pay CLEP a $80 fee. You can pay the CLEP fee by check, money order, or credit card (NO CASH).
  • If you need to reschedule your appointment, please call the Testing Center office at 630-942-2401 no less than two business days before your scheduled exam. Out of consideration for others who would also like to register, we will only allow you to reschedule the same exam twice without incurring additional fees.
  • On the day of your exam you will need to bring two forms of ID, one from each of the following groups:
     

Government-issued photo ID

Other ID

Driver’s license

Additional ID from other list

State ID

School ID

Passport (signed)

Signed credit card

Military ID

Signed social security card

DSST Program

The College of DuPage is a national test site and offers all 38 DSST exams to both students and the community at large. If you are a student at another college or university, you will need to check with your school to determine which exams will be accepted for credit. Currently, the College of DuPage does not accept DSST exams for credit. For more information about DSST tests, please visit www.getcollegecredit.com.

PLEASE NOTE: Until further notice the Testing Center
is NOT administering the DSST: Public Speaking exam due to continued technical difficulties.

DSST exams are administered by appointment and you can register for a test online. Please read the following information before registering:

  • When you register for an exam you will be asked to pay a $30 administration fee, which is non-refundable. On the day of the exam you will need to pay DSST an $80 fee which you can pay with a credit card ONLY.
  • If you need to reschedule your appointment, please call the Testing Center office at 630-942-2401 no less than two business days before your scheduled exam.
  • Before you register for an appointment, you will need to create an account with DSST. Please Click here for instructions on first-time registration.
  • On the day of your exam you will need to bring you username and password for your DSST account and a government-issued photo ID with a signature. If you have questions about the accepted IDs, please call the Testing Center office at 630-942-2401.

WorkKeys

Currently, the College of DuPage Testing Center offers eight WorkKeys exams and two certifications: the Proficiency Certificate for Teacher Assistants and the National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC). The individual tests are $20 each and the Proficiency Certificate for Teacher Assistants is $50 and must be completed in one session. Please note: The Business Writing results are available in 3-5 business days. All other exam results are available immediately. To register for the NCRC or for more information, please call our office at 630-942-2401.

PSB Health Occupations Aptitude Examination

This exam is used as part of the admissions application for the Dental Hygiene, Nuclear Medicine, Radiography, and Sonography/Ultrasound programs. The exams are given between November and March during an application year. Exam dates and times are available beginning in September. For more information about the PSB-HOAE exam, please visit www.psbtests.com. Click on “Test Resources” for sample questions. PSB-HOAE exams are administered in group sessions and you can register for a seat online. Testing sessions are held November through March. Please check back in September for testing dates.The fee for the exam is $40. Please read the following information before registering:

HESI A2 Exam

This exam is used as part of the admissions criteria for the Nursing (ADN) program  The exam consists of several academic sections as well as a personality profile. College of DuPage will administer the following sections: Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary and General Knowledge, Grammar, Anatomy and Physiology, Learning Style, Personality Profile, and Critical Thinking. Please refer to the ADN information packet for more information on the nursing applilcation process.

HESI A2 exams are administered by appointment and you can register for a test online. Please read the following information before registering:

  • When you register for an exam, you will pay a $60 fee. This fee is non-refundable.
  • You need to create an account for HESI before your scheduled test date. You will not be able to test without an Evolve username and password. Please bring this with you to the test.

Complete the required fields, check the box next to "Yes" and
click Submit.

  • NOTE: The Evolve/Elsevier website is NOT where you schedule your exam; you are only creating an account. Exams are scheduled from www.cod.edu/testing.
  • If you need to reschedule your appointment, please call the Testing Center office at 630-942-2401 no less than two business days before your scheduled exam.
  • Students can retest after 90 days and the test can be taken twice per application period.
  • On the day of your exam you will need to bring a photo ID.
