Dr. Harold D. McAninch
Interim President

McAninch was appointed by the Board of Trustees on Tuesday, May 27, as the college’s interim president. He will serve the college in this position until the Board has completed the search process to fill this position permanently. During a career that has included nearly 40 years in higher education, McAninch served as president at C.O.D. from 1979 to 1994 and recently as interim president at four other community colleges. In 1984, he was recognized as the year’s outstanding administrator by the Illinois Community College Trustees Association (ICCTA) and was identified in 1988 as one of 51 outstanding chief executive officers in the nation by the Community College Leadership program in Austin, Texas. As interim president, McAninch's duties will include overseeing day-to-day operations at the college, enrollment management, student affairs, academic affairs, administrative affairs, development and information technology.




Jocelyn Harney, Ed.D.

Vice President
Enrollment and Student Affairs

Harney develops policies, programs and services that provide support to students in their academic programs. She also serves as the Student Judicial Officer for the college. Offices reporting to Harney are Admissions; Athletics; Career Services; Counseling and Advising Services; Financial Aid; Health and Special Student Services; Records; Registration; and Student Activities.

Christopher Picard, Ph.D.

Vice President
Academic Affairs

Picard develops the policies, programs and services that implement the colleges instructional mission. Reporting to Picard are the associate vice president of Community Affairs, the dean of Academic Alternatives and Instructional Support, and the dean of Learning Resources. Direct reports in the academic divisions include the dean of Business and Technology, the dean of Health, Social and Behavioral Sciences, the dean of Liberal Arts, and the dean of Natural and Applied Sciences. Areas also reporting to Picard are the executive director of the Business and Professional Institute and Continuing Education, the director of Athletics, the coordinator for International Education, and the coordinator for the Honors Program.

Thomas E. Ryan, Ed.D.

Vice President
Administrative Affairs

Ryan is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the college’s physical plant and central services. He also serves as college Treasurer. Under Ryan’s jurisdiction are Financial Affairs, Purchasing and Fixed Asset Inventory, Human Resources, Research and Planning, Campus Services, Public Safety, Auxiliary Enterprises, and construction coordination.




Charles Currier

Vice President
Information Technology

Currier plans all information technology relating to audio, video, computing, media and voice services. He also maintains the technology infrastructure and all shared computing labs. Currier oversees Administrative Systems/Development; Multimedia Services; Emerging Technologies; Enterprising Networking; Office and Classroom Technology; Special Projects-IT; Telecommunication and Voice Services; and Web and Instructional Technology.
