Student Leadership Academy

What is it?

The DuPage Area Student Leadership Academy (SLA) provides high school students with the skills and knowledge necessary to be college and/or career ready. Students attend four workshop sessions throughout the year with their high school. Sessions are facilitated by College of DuPage, as well as business professionals from the local business community including Cray Kaiser Ltd., Weselak and Associates, Paulsen Productions and Accent HR LLC. Topics of sessions include goal setting, time management, interviewing skills, resume writing, work attitude, diversity in the workplace, and advantages of social media. 

Who participates?

DuPage County high school students in their junior or senior year. There are several high schools that participate yearly, and new schools are also welcome. If you are interested in learning if your school participates in this excellent program, contact

How do I sign up?

Each school has a staff member that selects, organizes and chaperones the group of students that attend. Everyone selected is required to attend all four sessions.
