Early Childhood Center

  • The Early Childhood Center, completed in 2007, serves more than 100 children while housing the Early Childhood Education and Care degree and certificate programs.
  • The classrooms are organized under a simple sky-lit roof with an undulating interior corridor "street," which playfully widens to become a flexible indoor activity area at the center of the building. The indoor street is naturally lit from above with skylights and provides a protected play area for large motor skill development during inclement weather.
  • All of the classrooms have direct access to the outdoor play areas, with covered porches for sheltered outdoor activities.
