Frequently Asked Questions
Sections:
How do I register?
Call Continuing Education at (630) 942-2208 with your course details for easy registration.
You can also register and pay for courses online through myACCESS. Be sure to select "myACCESS for non-credit enrollment."
How do I pay for my classes?
If paying online or by phone, you can use American Express, Discover, MasterCard and
Visa. You can also visit the Continuing Education Office at COD's Glen Ellyn Campus (Building
K, Room 165) to pay by check.
Who can register for non-credit classes?
- Youth Academy: Students in pre-Kindergarten through grade 12
- Adult Enrichment, Professional Development and Credit Classes: 18 years and older
- Lifelong Learning Institute: Open to any adult, but these courses are specifically designed for 55 years and older. Reduced senior fees are available for those 65 years and older.
How are class fees determined and when are they due?
Tuition fees are due and payable at time of registration. Fees vary in accordance
with class length and other factors. Tax dollars are not used to support Continuing
Education programs. They are sustained by student revenues only, so classes must meet
minimum enrollment. In the event of an administrative cancellation, you will receive
a full refund of your tuition.
When should I register?
At least 10 days prior to the start of the class.
What is the refund policy?
For most classes, a 100 percent refund is given up to one business day prior to the
start of a class. No refund will be granted after this time.
What about cancellations?
Please help prevent canceled classes by enrolling early. Classes will be canceled
prior to the start date if enrollment is too low.
Are out-of-district students charged a higher fee for Continuing Education classes?
In-district residents and out-of-district students are welcome to take our classes
for the same registration fee.
