Business Analysis

Business analysis includes the set of tasks and techniques used to work as a liaison among stakeholders to understand the structure, policies and operations of an organization – and recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.

Business analysts need the following competencies and skills:

Business Analysis Fundamentals
Business analysis skills are critical in today's workplace and are the top in demand skills from employers. In an era where business processes are being outsourced and organizations experience rapid change, these skills continue to be key assets across all industry categories. In this workshop you will explore defining and understanding business needs, obtaining and processing information, developing clear and concise documentation, planning, organizing and prioritization techniques as well as decision making and problem solving skills. Advanced Business Analysis
Business analysts must have the ability to analyze the structures, policies and operations of an organization and then provide solutions to help the organization achieve its objectives. To do this, they need to understand the various methods and techniques to implement business change and deliver technology solutions. Learn how to make the business case, draft the executive summary and feasibility study, and develop a cost/benefit and business-risk analysis. Instructor: Anthony Perrozzi

Anthony has seven years of experience as a business analyst. He has advised multiple small-to-medium size enterprises, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and currently operates in a global project management role at Aon Corporation, a Fortune 300 company based in Chicago. He graduated with his MBA from Hult International Business School and also holds a bachelor's degree in Finance from Drake University. View his LinkedIn profile.

Prerequisites
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel is beneficial, please bring a laptop is your have one.  There are no specific prerequisites to enroll in this program, but there are requirements to sit for the certification exam.
