about the world. Importantly, time spent in other cultures develops skills
students will need to thrive in the 21st century.

C.O.D. Programs
Costa Rica
Five-week summer program offers total immersion in Costa Rican culture
and intensive Spanish
language at all levels in San José, Costa Rica. Students receive 7 semester
credits.
Czech
Republic
Five-week summer program focuses on archaeological explorations
of the Czech past near Premyslovice. Students receive 7 semester credits.
Courses are taught in English.
Germany
Five-week summer program
focuses on German language at all levels and German culture and civilization
in Munich, Germany. Students receive 7 semester credits.
Italy
Five-week summer program in Siena, Italy, focuses on the Italian language
and Italian culture. Students receive 7 semester credits.
Japan
Six-week summer program
total immersion in the Japanese language and in the culture of Japan.
Students receive 7 semester credits.
Spain
Five-week summer
program offers total immersion in Spanish culture and intensive Spanish
language at all levels in Madrid, Spain. Students receive 7 semester credits.
ICISP (Illinois Consortium for International Studies
and Programs)
ICISP is a consortium of 40 community colleges and small liberal
arts colleges that offers a summer study abroad program in
Costa
Rica.

This five-week summer program
is administered by College of DuPage for the ICISP Consortium. Students
from ICISP member colleges receive credit from their institution.
CCIS (College Consortium for International Studies)
CCIS
is a consortium of two- and four-year institutions that offers semester-long
and summer study abroad programs at 30 different sites throughout the
world. Some of the more popular programs are France,
England,
Ireland,
Italy and Spain.
C.O.D. students enrolling in these programs receive C.O.D. credit. Please
note, these study abroad programs are open to all students in Illinois
Community Collegel District 502, DuPage County. If you live in an area

Field and Interdisciplinary Studies Programs
Field and
Experiential Learning courses use the world as their classroom.
Courses
combine significant classroom content with non-classroom field experiences
in locations throughout seven continents and many sites in the United
States.
Past college courses have provided students with hands-on learning
in more than 53 countries.
