Course Descriptions
This program makes textbook language come alive. The whole community
serves as a giant classroom and language laboratory for the students.
Students attend Spanish language classes for five weeks from 9 a.m.
until 1 p.m., Monday through Friday. These classes are taught by faculty
from the Eurocentres school in Madrid.
In addition, prior to departure for Spain, students attend an Intensive
Weekend Seminar highlighting the culture and civilization of Spain.
The weekend also provides orientation.
Credits
Students enroll in two courses at College of DuPage:
Spanish 1840, Spanish Language
(Spanish, Mid-level I and II, and Advanced I and II), 4 semester hours
credit
Spanish 1820, Culture and Civilization of Spain
This course covers the geography, history, political, and social institutions
and the arts of
Spain. 3 semester hours credit
