Gino Impellizzeri
Professor of Italian
College of DuPage
Gino Impellizzeri has been a professor of Italian, French and Spanish at College of Dupage since 1991. He was born and raised in Italy and holds a bachelor's degree and a master's degree from the State University of New York at Albany. He has traveled extensively in Italy and Europe and also in Canada, Mexico and Costa Rica. In 2000, he was a co-director of the Spanish Summer Study Program in Costa Rica, and in 2004 he started the Italian Summer Study Program at Siena in Italy with 24 students. He has also conducted numerous Field Study programs in Italy and is very enthusiastic about Italy in general and Tuscany in particular.
Sandra Anderson, Ph.D.
Professor of Spanish
College of DuPage
Sandra Anderson is an Associate Professor of Spanish at College of DuPage. She holds an M.A. and Ph.D. in Spanish Literature from Northwestern University and taught Spanish language and literature there before coming to C.O.D. in 2002. She directed the College of DuPage Summer Study Abroad program in Costa Rica for four years (2003-06) and most recently led College of DuPage programs in Spain and Peru (summer 2007). Anderson was research assistant to the director of Northwestern’s Study Abroad program in Seville, Spain, and has also traveled in Mexico, Guatemala, Cuba and Bolivia. In addition to her academic interests, Sandra enjoys choral music, art, reading and the great outdoors.
