Center for Asian Studies Development
The
Regional Center for Asian Studies Development program provides the following
services:
Promotes the acquisition
of knowledge about and appreciation of Asian cultures through festivals,
workshops and other programs
Supports Asian studies curriculum
development at all educational levels by collection and dissemination
of material
Strengthens College of DuPage
Asian outreach efforts through study abroad, faculty exchange, technological
development and program offerings
Enhances the college resource
base for submitting joint funding proposals, obtaining grants and planning
collaborative projects through resource development and regional linkages
Expands national and international
networks of faculty with a common interest in studying and teaching about
the peoples and cultures of Asia
Provides Asian outreach and
information services for residents of Community College District 502 and
regional businesses
The College of DuPage Regional Center for Asian Studies Development is
affiliated with the Asian
Studies Development Program of the University of Hawaii and the
East-West Center, a collaborative
project of more than 125 higher education institutions and associations
committed to infusing Asian studies into American college campuses.
