Biologists Have the Best-Ranked Jobs in America.
According to the 2002 ranking in the Jobs Rated Almanac, the best job in America is that of a biologist. The almanac rates 250 jobs based on a dozen key factors, including market demand, autonomy, salary, job security and benefits, to name just a few.

Biology is the study of the structure and function of organisms and their relationships with the biological and physical world. College of DuPage offers an array of courses in the biological sciences, including biology, botany, zoology, ecology, field biology, microbiology, and anatomy and physiology.

C.O.D. students can earn an Associate in Science degree with an emphasis in a transfer area of study, such as anatomy and physiology, biology, botany, microbiology, nursing, pre-dentistry, pre-medicine, pre-occupational therapy, pre-pharmacy, pre-physical therapy, pre-veterinary, and zoology. Upon earning a baccalaureate degree, students may then pursue graduate studies in biology or one of its subdisciplines.

Students should consult with an adviser early in their academic career and consult with prospective transfer institutions for specific course requirements.
