Nursing (ADN)

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
The Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) program at College of DuPage prepares students both academically and clinically for a career in the care of acutely and chronically ill people in a variety of health care settings.

On successful completion of this two-year Nursing program, a student is awarded an associate in applied science degree and becomes eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination — Registered Nurse (State Boards).

ADN graduates work in a variety of health care settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, ambulatory care, physicians' offices and home health care. An increasing number of employment opportunities are also in community-based settings, including home health and ambulatory care.

Starting salary for a new graduate is approximately $43,000, with additional compensation for evening and night shifts.
