CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
The Early Childhood Education and Care program offers students the knowledge, skills and attitudes that enable them to provide education and care for infants, toddlers, preschool-aged and school-aged children. Positions are available working with children and families in preschools, child care centers, family child care homes, Head Start programs, recreation and religious programs, and public schools as teacher aides.

College of DuPage classroom experiences are combined with direct observation and participation in both campus and community early childhood programs. The Early Childhood Education and Care program's curriculum provides a variety of options to meet the needs of students with diverse experiences and interests in the field of child care and early childhood education.

In addition to the associate in applied science degree and certificate programs, the college offers specialized courses for teachers and other early childhood professionals who want to update their knowledge and expertise. Parents and others interested in enhancing a child's development will also benefit from early childhood courses.
