Description of Organization:
It is the mission of the Humanitarian Service Project to alleviate the pain and suffering that poverty brings to needy seniors and children living in DuPage and Kane Counties, IL without discrimination or exclusion for any reason. This is done through their programs: The Christmas Offerings, The Senior Citizen Project and the Children's Project.
Description of Service Learner Role:
Assisting in tasks that vary depending upon the season, but include: Sorting and organizing donations of food, toys, school supplies and gifts; preparing clients' food and/or birthday packages; assisting with office duties, such as interacting with clients and donors both in person and on the phone.

Summer hours at COD are in effect June 4 through Aug. 13. During this time, most buildings on the Glen Ellyn campus are closed Fridays to Sundays.
