Description of Organization:
We grow organic produce to donate to the Food Market at the People's Resource Center in Wheaton. We also seek to educate the COD community and the general public about food security and provide an example of sustainable urban agriculture as a means of addressing food security issues in our own community and elsewhere.
Description of Service Learner Role:
Students can participate in many activities including planning the harvest, planting, maintaining the site, harvesting, working at the Food Market directly with clients, as well as advertising and staffing our events such as workshops and produce sales.
