Prairie Tours
Learn about the wildlife, people and processes that
have shaped the prairie ecosystem as you take a guided journey through
C.O.D.s prairie restorations.
C.O.D. biology faculty members will lead the tours. Participants will
learn to identify some of the more than 100 species of native Illinois
prairie plants found throughout the 18-acre prairie preserve.
Summer 2008
Tours last approximately 60 to 90 minutes. Tours
start at the Southwest corner of the Russell R. Kirt Prairie. Parking
is available in Lot M at the Northwest corner of Lambert and
College Roads. Registration is not required
and the tours are free.
