"Thank you for the support of not only DEN but your members as
well. Monday I start a new position as Association Manager and my fingers
are crossed that it is a good long term fit for me. Again, thank you
to all who forwarded me leads and offered advise."
– Allison Summers, DEN Member
"What I would recommend to others:
Continue to attend DEN meetings. The potential benefit of networking
among the members is obvious. What may not be so obvious it that it
let’s you know you truly are not alone. They are a lot of other
highly talented folks out there that are actively trying to land a job
but are also having difficulty. Personally I’ve found that friends,
family, and even prospective employers don’t necessarily have
a good understanding of what the current market is for executives, and
how hard it can be to land a job."
– Robert Gennardo
“Thanks to your encouragement and the tips provided, I could really
do very well in my next interview. You would be glad to know that I
have been hired by another leading bank as "Personal Banker"
at a compensation commensurate with my expectation, qualification and
background."
– Usha Mohan
“You can get help On-line, but you can’t get hope On-line
like you get with College of DuPage’s Career Services!”
– Community Resident
"I can’t thank you enough for your help and advice in regards
to employment. You will see me again in the future as a student at COD
undertaking classes in the Law Enforcement Academy."
– Angela Klatt Bailey
"I want to thank you for your encouragement at our meeting on Monday.
I've been pretty discouraged in my conflict between need for fulfillment
and need to contribute to my household income. You picked up on that,
and your "no problem" response was so uplifting. I walked
out of the meeting standing taller."
– Laura Slivinski
"A personal note of thanks is in order. Your presentation for Adults
in Transition was very interesting and the time you spent really appreciated.
A million thanks!"
– Janet Rand, Adjunct Faculty
“I took the CTA assessment and thought it was outstanding! With
only 29 questions, it was simple and to the point. The questions were
straight forward and easy to understand. This tool should be very helpful
to anyone who take it, especially with the provided links to help in
skill development and/or improvement phase.”
– Thomas Elmore, DEN Member
"This on-line assessment is a must see for anyone in career
transition, regardless of your professional level. I initially over-looked
it thinking I was "too busy" working on my job search.
However after another DEN member told me about how it helped them
get focused I decided try it. Not only did it identify areas where I
could make some improvements, it showed me what I needed to do next
and provided a ton of resources. I now see why CTA just received the
NACE/Chevron Award."
– DEN Member
