Sharon Spitzer
Career Specialist

Sharon Spitzer has had extensive experience in the Career Services Center as a Career Specialist at College of DuPage. In addition, she has a private practice as a life and career coach and a consultant for individuals and numerous corporations. Her corporate clientele has included Caterpillar, Harper Community College, Sears, United States Air Force, Siemens, etc.
Sharon’s past experience includes five years Human Resource Management experience at Chase Manhattan Bank. Her positions included recruiting manager and career coach.

She has hosted a variety of job search and career related workshops and seminars. Some of her topics include job search strategies, interest and personality testing, resume writing and job search correspondence, networking, salary negotiations, interviewing for success, and career advancement.

Sharon holds a MBA with a concentration in Organizational Behavior from George Williams College and a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Illinois at Chicago.She is an active member of OBACI (Oak Brook Area Commerce and Industry), GCRC (Government College Relation Council), MwACE (Midwest Association of Colleges and Employers), and MCEA (Midwest Cooperative Education Association).
