Haven't Received Your Class Schedule Yet?

The Summer 2008 Class Schedule will be distributed on campus on Wednesday, March 19.

If you are a resident of Community College District 502, have not received a Spring Class Schedule in the mail by April 14 and would like a copy, call (630) 942-2380.

New Students

Returning Students

Student Transfers to C.O.D.


New Students
1. Fill out a College of DuPage Admission Form.
If you would prefer to submit an Admission Form in person or by mail, call the Admissions and Information office, (630) 942-2380, or fill out an Information Request Form to have an Admission Form mailed to you. If the $10 non-refundable admission recording fee is not paid, it will be added to your tuition the first time you register for a credit class.

Prior to March 24
During Returning Student Registration
Submit your Admission Form online, in person or by mail. You will receive a letter indicating the earliest date and time you can register for credit classes.

From April 7 to May 11
During New Student Registration
Submit your Admission Form online, in person or by mail. You will receive a letter indicating the earliest date and time you are eligible to register.

From May 12 to May 26
During Final Registration
Submit your Admission Form online or in person only. You will receive a confirmation e-mail. You are then eligible to register for classes in one to two business days. If you submit your Admission Form in person at SRC 2046, you can register immediately.

2. Familiarize yourself with College of DuPage through general information found online, in the Catalog, the Class Schedule or program web sites.

3. Know your Personal Identification Number (PIN).

4. Take the appropriate placement tests through Assessment and Testing. New students must complete an Admission Form prior to taking placement tests.

5. Verify course prerequisites. Order official transcripts from previous college and/or high school and have them sent to the C.O.D. Records office and request a transcript evaluation. A student cannot register for a class without proof of meeting prerequisite(s).

6. View the online New Student Orientation web site.

7. Register for your classes.

8. Pay for your classes by the payment due date.

9. A schedule of classes and a statement of fees will be mailed to you after you register. Or you can pick them up at the Cashier's office.

Returning Students
1. Review the Catalog, the Class Schedule or program web sites.

2. Check your progress toward a degree or certificate by running a own degree audit.

3. If you want to know how your credits will transfer to another institution, visit the Course Applicability System (CAS).

4. Take the appropriate placement tests.

5. Meet with an adviser for help in selecting your courses or a counselor if you are undecided about your field of study.

6. Register for your classes as soon as you are eligible. If you attended C.O.D. during fall term, a registration eligibility date/time will be sent to your MyCOD e-mail account. If not, call (630) 942-2377 and press “4” to find out when you are eligible to register.

7. Pay for your classes by the payment due date.

8. A schedule of classes and a statement of fees will be mailed to you after you register. Or you can pick them up at the Cashier's office.

Transfer Students
In addition to completing the New Student Check List, students transferring to College of DuPage may need to do the following:

1. Contact your former school(s) and order transcripts sent to the C.O.D. Records office.

2. Request a transcript evaluation from the Records office, (630) 942-3830. A degree audit with courses accepted will be mailed to you.

3. Prior to receiving your credit transfer evaluation, consult with an adviser to select courses that are NOT similar to those you have already taken.

4. Consult with a counselor or adviser to plan the rest of your program.
