Welcome Letter

After enrolling in an online class, watch your mail for a Welcome Letter (PDF) from the Center for Independent Learning with a Blackboard Student Quick Guide. The letter and brochure provide critical information to help you get started.

The letter and brochure are also sent to you electronically before classes start. Watch for the e-mail in your MyCOD student portal from CODonline@cod.edu.

Course materials are available via Blackboard once your class has begun or through a special arrangement between you and your instructor. The summary typically includees a course description and information about required course material, course activities, evaluation and grading policies. Find a course summary.
