At the McAninch Arts Center — DuPage Opera Theatre presents Hansel and Gretel. Stage direction by Geoffrey Edwards. Two hungry and mischievous children, lost in the woods, are delighted to find a gingerbread house, but soon discover the angry witch who inhabits the house plans to eat them! This operatic gift is presented in a set inspired by that very large Fifth Avenue toy store in New York. The internationally famous Glen Ellyn Children's Chorus, conducted by Emily Ellsworth, will be the special guest performers.
