Gahlberg Gallery Art Exhibit — Elana Herzog: Sculptural Installation.
New York artist Elana Herzog attaches utilitarian textiles to the wall using thousands of staples that are applied following the pattern of their weave. Parts of the fabric and staples are then removed, leaving a residue of shredded fabric and perforated wall surfaces. For the Gahlberg Gallery, Herzog will create an archipelago of architectural forms within the gallery and lobby. Gallery hours: Mondays to Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Thursdays, 6 to 8 p.m.; Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; also open during Mainstage events and by appointment.
