Art Exhibit
Kevin Hamilton: Department of Rhythmanalysis DuPage
Alert System. The Department of Rhythmanalysis implements site-specific
alarm systems that monitor the status of a variety of remote and local
conditions. Coincidental events at home and abroad are announced through
an audible alert - more frequent changes are indicated through a series
of analog visual indicators. Through this and other efforts, the department
explores the potential of examining irregular temporal events as rhythmic,
and thus more capable of change. Gallery hours: Mondays to Thursdays,

Gahlberg Gallery
Art Exhibit
Elana Herzog: Sculptural Installation. New York artist Elana
Herzog attaches utilitarian textiles to the wall using thousands of
staples that are applied following the pattern of their weave. Parts
of the fabric and staples are then removed, leaving a residue of shredded
fabric and perforated wall surfaces. For the Gahlberg Gallery, Herzog
will create an archipelago of architectural forms within the gallery
and lobby. Gallery hours: Mondays to Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Thursdays,
