To view a roster in Blackboard:

  1. Enter Blackboard and open the course.
  2. Scroll down to the Control Panel.
  3. Click Users and Groups.
  4. Select Users.

On the Users screen, you will see a list of the students enrolled in your course.

Send an email from the Roster (Users screen)

  1. On the Users screen, click a student's email address.
  2. Depending on your computer setup, your computer may open (or prompt you to open) your Outlook email account.
  3. Compose an email using your email application. 

Send an email to more than one student
(Send Email tool)

  1. Go to the Control Panel and click Course Tools.
  2. Select Send Email.
  3. Select the recipients in the Available to Select box and click the right-pointing arrow to move them into the Selected box.
  4. Enter a Subject (required).
  5. Type a Message.
  6. Optional. If you click the Return Receipt box, not only will you receive a copy of the message, but also a list of recipients.
  7. Optional. Click the Attach a File link to browse for file from your computer.
  8. Click Submit when finished.

On the next screen, a confirmation message appears in the green bar.
