Established
in 1967, the College of DuPage Foundation is a not-for-profit organization
that raises and administers the funds that support critical programs
and services at College of DuPage, including scholarship assistance.
With an annual commitment of more than $100,000, the Foundation awards
80 $2,000 scholarships each year and 30 textbook scholarships per quarter,
while administering 157 scholarships that are privately funded by individuals,
businesses, foundations and community organizations.
The Foundation is committed to increasing scholarship opportunities
to meet the increasing needs of its growing community. Recently the
Foundation completed a campaign to raise $5 million in support of program
development, student scholarships, technology and equipment, faculty
and staff development, and arts and cultural enrichment.
This commitment would not be possible without the generosity and involvement
of the community itself. As the Foundation grows, this partnership with
local philanthropists becomes even more crucial to our success.
The Foundation Board is composed of 24 civic and business leaders representing
50 communities served by Community College District 502. With $5 million
in assets, the Foundation is having a significant impact on meeting
college needs.
Gifts and inquiries from individuals, their representatives, brokers,
legal counsel or others are welcome at any time. Foundation staff works
closely with the Financial Aid and Admissions offices to administer
all scholarship gifts and endowments.
