GED Test Registration Guidelines
All test-takers must be at least 17 years of age. Test-takers 17 to 21 who have been in school in the last 12 months must bring a letter from their high school. Please go to the Eligibility section for full details.Required Documents to Register
Test-takers must present the following at time of registration:A Government-issued photo ID, such as:
· Driver’s license
· State ID
· Valid passport
· Military ID
· Consulate IDProof of a current DuPage County address:
· Any of the above listed IDs with a DuPage County address
· A letter or document with the registrant’s name and DuPage County addressTest-takers who live outside of DuPage County but need to take the GED Tests at the College of DuPage must call the Regional Office of Education for permission to take the tests in DuPage County. GED Test and Retest Fees
First Time Test-takers and full retest takers: $50• Re-Testers
$15 Writing
$10 Math
$10 Science
$10 Social Studies
$10 ReadingThe testing fee must be paid at the time of registration. Public Aid cannot be used to pay for the GED Test. The following are accepted as payment:

• Money Order

Be advised that the GED testing fee is non-refundable. Once you pay for the test, you cannot change your testing date. If you are not able to come to the test, you will be required to pay again. You must register to take the test 48 hours or more before your preferred test date. All tests are first-come first-served.Registration Hours

If you need to take the GED test at College of DuPage, but do not live in DuPage County, you must call the Regional Office of Education for permission to test in DuPage County. The Regional Office of Education can be reached at (630) 407-5800.Testing Accommodations
If you have a documented disability, you can request testing accommodations from the GED Testing Administration. If approved, accommodations are provided at no additional charge.
