GED Test Registration Guidelines
All registrants must be at least 19 years of age. NOTE: Applicants who are 17 and 18 years of age must provide supporting documentation.

Required Documents to Register
Registrants must present the following at the time of registration:

A government-issued ID, such as:
• Driver’s license
• State ID
• Valid passport
• Military ID
• Consulate ID

Proof of a current DuPage County address:
• Automobile registration
• Voter’s registration card
• Lease
• Mail addressed to applicant within 30 days
• Community library card
• Bills (utility, medical, etc.) within 30 days
• High school transcript, dated within 30 days
• Contract for a sale of a home
• Imprinted checks
• Current paycheck stub

GED Test and Retest Fees:
First Time Testers
$35

Re-Testers
$10 Writing
$5 Math
$5 Science
$5 Social Studies
$5 Reading

The testing fee must be paid at the time of registration. Public Aid cannot be used to pay for the GED Test. The following are accepted as payment:
• Cash
• Check
• Money Order
(Credit and Debit Cards not accepted.)

Testing Fee Policy
Be advised that the GED testing fee is non-refundable. Once you pay for the test, you cannot change your testing date. If you are not able to come to the test, you will be required to pay again. You must register to take the test 48 hours or more before your preferred test date.  All tests are first-come first-served.

Registration Hours
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Wednesday: 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Directions
The GED Testing office is located on the first floor of the Berg Instructional Center (IC), Room 100A. For easiest access, use a north entrance to the IC building.

Applicants who previously tested outside DuPage County:
If you have taken the GED Test outside of DuPage County, you must get an official GED transcript from the Regional Office of Education where you tested and bring it when you register.

Applicants who live outside of DuPage County:
If you need to take the GED test at College of DuPage, but do not live in DuPage County, you must call the Regional Office of Education for permission to test in DuPage County. The Regional Office of Education can be reached at (630) 407-5800.

Special Accommodations
If you have a documented disability, you can request testing accommodations from the GED Testing Administration. If approved, accommodations are provided at no additional charge. Contact the GED Testing office for more information.
